Higher education extends beyond the physical walls of a campus classroom with distance education technologies available through the Alliance for Higher Education. By delivering degree programs, credit courses or continuing education at a distance, colleges and universities can  increase non-traditional student enrollments. 

     With one- and two-way video, two-way audio and data transmission capabilities, the Green Network (an Alliance service) creates an ``on-campus" experience for students in corporations or on other campuses. With virtual classrooms in some of DFW's largest corporations,  member academic institutions reach the working adult population and share faculty resources with other institutions.

     Member colleges and universities can reach thousands of new students...at the workplace and eventually at home...through a single technical resource which offers remarkable flexibility for interactivity.
