Alliance for Higher Education membership falls into three primary categories. Principal Participant
Principal Participants are defined as colleges and universities with Southern Association of Colleges and Schools accreditation. Principal participants must bring
value to the entire membership. Process
- President or chancellor should submit a written membership request to the president of the Alliance for Higher Education. A site team will be formed to visit the institution and make a recommendation regarding membership status. All Principal Participants must be endorsed by the Council of Presidents and approved by the Alliance Board.
Associate Participant
Associate Participants are defined as corporations, agencies, organizations or institutions organized for-profit or not-for-profit, whose program objectives
closely parallel those of the Alliance or who are substantial users of Alliance services, but who do not qualify for Principal Participant status. Process
- Membership requests may be made to the attention of the president of the Alliance for Higher Education by fax, mail or via the Internet.
Affiliate Participant
Affiliate Participants are defined as proprietary, appropriately accredited higher education institutions. It is expected that each Affiliate Participant bring
value to the organization. Process

A site team will be formed to visit the institution and make a recommendation regarding membership status. and whose participation enhances the value of our services to Principal, Associate and Affiliate Participants. Service Subscribers may be approved by the president of the Alliance provided that each Subscriber meets
requirements and accepts financial or other obligations prescribed by the Board of Trustees. Process - Service Subscriber requests may be made by fax, mail or via the Internet.
