HOW TO USE THE GREEN NETWORK
ADMISSIONSStudents are responsible for completing the
admissions process and for satisfying all admission requirements at the institution from which they wish to receive credit. Students should contact admissions departments
early to ensure admittance in time for course registration.
REGISTRATIONRegistration procedures vary from campus to campus. TUITION AND FEES
are due at the time of registration. Students should contact their company Green Network (formerly TAGER) coordinator
prior to the registration period of the school from which they intend to receive courses to ensure that they have company approval and reimbursement for tuition and other costs. Some institutions require on-campus registration while others will allow registration by mail or at the company site. Please see the
ACADEMIC CALENDAR. GREEN NETWORK RECEIVING CLASSROOM OR CARRELGreen Network students should become familiar with the equipment in the classroom or carrel. Instead of the standard network classroom, some company locations have
installed "carrels" (individual partitioned study units equipped with a monitor, stereo headset* and telephone). Both setups have the ability to communicate with the professor via the talkback telephone
system. In some cases a regular telephone with speed dial is provided which works in a similar way. Questions asked by students on the network are heard by the professor and every other student at the same
time. Comments and replies can be made by anyone in the class. * Most companies have students provide their own headsets for the carrels. Please contact your company coordinator for more information. TEXTBOOK SERVICEGreen Network students with access to the courier may order textbooks from their campus bookstores and have them delivered to their location via the courier. EXAMINATIONSExamination policies are set by the individual faculty of each academic institution, not by the
Green Network. Some examinations may be on-site when proctored by company personnel. In these instances the proctoring policy along with the exam will be distributed to the company coordinators.
However, the majority of exams are administered on campus. Students are responsible for obtaining the examination policy and exam dates for each course from the course instructor.
VIDEOTAPE SERVICEThree methods for videotaping selected Green Network classes are available: (1)
The Green Network can be requested to tape classes for replay to students who are forced to miss a class. Students' requests for videotape service must be made in advance through the campus director or
company coordinator
at their receiving location. The fees for videotaping are: $40 for 60 minutes; $50 for 61 – 90 minutes; $60 for 91 – 120 minutes; and $10 for each additional hour or any fraction thereof over 120 minutes.(2)
If a company has signed a license agreement for in-company recording and playback of permissible classes, the company coordinator will make arrangements for taping. There is no NETWORK charge for this option.
(3) School or Alliance may mail tapes to student (not broadcast). Process and cost vary. Contact Alliance for more information.
CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONSThe Alliance for Higher Education strives to ensure that the information contained in the class schedule is complete and accurate
