Talent at the Alliance…. |

Sylvia Kelley has
recently joined the Alliance as the new Director of
Marketing and Public Affairs. This position represents
an aggregation of her experience with several
community colleges and business partnerships,
including her previous employment with the Bill Priest
Institute for Economic Development (Dallas County
Community College District). She served there as the
Director of Contract Training and Marketing, and prior
to that was the Technical Programs Director for a
consortium of schools and businesses working through
Collin County Community College.
Kelley says, "This position
with the Alliance is the perfect opportunity to be at
the forefront of the exciting opportunities with new
state-of-the-art technologies for the delivery of
distance education."
She has a Bachelor of Science
degree from the University of San Francisco and a
Master of Arts degree from The University of Texas at
Dallas. She and her husband, Ray, live in McKinney
with their daughter, Megan. |

Karen E. DiConcilio brings her
artistic skills in publications and web design to the
Alliance from Providence, Rhode Island where she was
employed in the State’s School-to-Career office.
As the new Publications Coordinator
and Marketing Assistant, she has an extensive
background in general marketing communications,
developing and maintaining websites, and special
events planning. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree
in Communications Studies from Virginia Polytechnic
Institute and State University.
As a new resident of Texas, she
proudly sports a bumper sticker on her car that says
she wasn’t born here but got here as fast as she
could! |

D. Andrew Copper has found his
niche with the Alliance as a radio frequency systems
technician responsible for maintaining,
troubleshooting and repairing radio transmission
equipment used for broadcasting classes over the Green
Network.
Copper has an interesting background with Raytheon
located at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX
where he worked in a variety of technical areas
including systems engineering, proposal and project
management, and electronics. Andrew and his wife,
Julie, live in Plano. |
